  • Elasticpath raises $8 million for creating a new "Commerce Everywhere" API
  • SongBird, a Web Application which was meant to compete with iTunes, Spotify etc as an Open Source competitor is shutting down on 28th June, due to lack of funding.
  • GoodData has raised $22 million in Series D funding received from Latin America's TOTVS Ventures.
  • Thumbstack, a market place for local service providers, has raised a $12.5 million Series B funding.
  • Minilogs, another Social Bookmarking website to collect links and Web content raises € 200K.
  • Google bought Waze, which is a Social Navigation App where in users provide live Maps and routes, for $1 billion+.
  • Animoto updates its iOS App to simplify its Video creation Workflow. Animoto is a service which lets users create videos from photos and videos.
  • Salesforce bought Exacttarget for $2.5 billion.
  • Yahoo! bought tumblr for $1.1 billion.
  • BrightEdge, a company that offers tools for Search Engine Optimization and Content Marketing raised $42.8 million.
  • InternMatch launched in 2009 lands $4 million Series A funding to build its Data-based job search platform.
  • iZettle, a european Square (Mobile Payment Startup) rival raised $6.6 million to expand its root worldwide.
  • Lamoda, a russian Online fashion site received $130 million.
