15 Best Android games to Pass Free Time ( Killing Boredom)

Whether it’s at a bus stop, an airport, or somewhere completely different, you’ve probably experienced a time when there’s a need for casual entertainment to while away the minutes. Boredom is a horrible plague that normally seems uncureable. But, with the dawning of smartphone apps, an entire gaming and entertainment system is built right into a device you take around with you every day.

The Android Market hosts a selection of Application/Games that can aid your boredom-fighting times, including games, entertainment applications and media. 
In this review, we’ll be covering some of our favourite apps from these categories in order to banish boredom forever!

Games

When you’re waiting for anything, you may choose to use a game as your primary entertainment source. Luckily, a bunch of high-profile developers boarded the good ship Android, bringing their popular games with them.

Angry Birds (Our favorite )

Angry birds is a simple game that revolves around some disgruntled avians. The aim of the game is to destroy the pigs, with a set of birds which are catapulted into action. So use the unique powers of the Angry Birds to destroy the greedy pigs' fortresses!


Doodle Jump

This is another successful game in which the Doodle jump-er, jumps from platform to platform, whilst avoiding monsters and accessing power-ups. There's no specific "Goal" to be achieved in the game, other than a personal aim to achieve high scores by gaining heights.


Cut the Rope

Cut the Rope, catch a star, and feed Om Nom candy in this award-winning game! Swipe your finger across the ropes to release the delicious bundles into his mouth. But don’t forget to collect the stars and break the bubbles along the way – easier said than done when enemies and obstacles await!


Where's My Water?

Where’s My Water? is a challenging physics-based puzzler complete with vibrant graphics, intuitive controls, and a sensational soundtrack. To be successful, you need to be clever and keep an eye out for algae, toxic ooze, triggers, and traps.


Fruit Ninja

The easiest to pass time without using brain, just cut the fruits using your damn finger. Swipe up across the screen to deliciously slash fruit like a true ninja warrior. With three games modes in single player and worldwide leader-boards using Openfeint, the addictive gameplay will keep you coming back for even higher scores.


Shift Lite Puzzle Game

Shift is an adventure puzzle platformer with a literal twist to the game play mechanic. You are subject 32763, trapped in an experiment. Can you find your way out?


They Need To Be Fed

Run and jump through 11 crazy worlds to feed the monsters in this 360° gravity platforme. It doesn't matter which way you go; up or down, left or right, you can't fall off because of the 360° gravity! Jump from rotating planes to moving platforms, avoiding dangers and collecting diamonds. 


TETRIS

The gameplay mechanics are still the same, where a player must complete "lines" to abolish them without building blocks up to the top of the screen. However, the mobile game adds new power-ups and different gameplay modes.


Roll in the Hole

This is funniest game out of them all. Meet PoPo, the chubby panda who just can't get enough ice cream. Imagine his surprise when he wakes after a summer snooze to find the cheeky gorilla Uggi has stolen his icy treats! Roll the rotund little bear around each level and chase Uggi to the hole. You'll have to choose the best route if you want to collect all your missing ice creams though.


Flight Control

Ever wanted to experience of being an air traffic controller ? Well now you can, on your phone. Flight control is a simple game where the player must guide planes and helicopters to different runways in order to land without crashing and colliding.


Squibble

It's one of those games that's "easy to learn but hard to master". The overall game play goal is to grabble between platforms whilst avoiding the threats spread throughout the levels. So help Squibble return home in this quirky and challenging 2D platformer!


The Impossible Game

This game is all about an orange square which must travel along the level, missing obstacles and hitting targets. The application is insanely simple yet insanely addictive. 


Geared

Geared for android is a puzzle game, that gets the user to complete the mechanism in order for the gears to work. Naturally, as you progress through 150 odd levels, they get harder and more complicated.


NinJump

In this fast paced ninja climbing game, your goal is to rise as high as you can while avoiding killer squirrels, angry birds, enemy ninjas, throwing stars and exploding bombs. With a simple tap you can jump from one wall to the other, knocking obstacles from the air as you do.



Paper Toss

Have you ever been bored at work, crumpled up a piece of paper and counted how many times you can make it in a small trash can? Has your boss ever gone out for a quick bite while you and your co-workers see how far you can move the trash can away and still make the paper shot? Have you ever brought in electric fans to make the shot even harder? 
This game is oddly satisfying . . . much like tossing a real ball of crumpled paper into a metal trash basket. So realistic, you will think you are stuck in an office killing time.


There are of-course, countless other games and Apps, that can make you love your free time, killing the boredom's ghost forever, but this list is the best of best.
