In an attempt to strengthen its map and location service, Facebook has bought Glancee, which is a location based social app. Glancee is an app which lets you discover who amongst your social connections are physically around you, is an attempt to bring the physical and digital world together.
Facebook, is still hungry for startups, after its recent acquisition of Instagram for a whooping $1 billion, Glancee joined the list, and again was a surprise for everyone. Though the amount is not yet disclosed but everyone's guessing it to be overpaid again(just like Instgram was).
Facebook is in lots of news these days, with its upcoming IPO, it will be very helpful for Facebook to get the best out of that.
